No app, no account
Photos collected by QR code
The fastest way to get photos out of a group and into one place. Scan, select, upload. No downloads, no accounts, nothing to explain to anybody.
Why it works
What a guest does not have to do
Asking the usual way
- Download this app first
- Create an account
- Accept these permissions
- Or just email them to me
- Nobody actually does it
Asking with a code
- Point the camera at the code
- Pick the photos
- Tap upload
- Done in seconds
- Everyone actually does it
How it works
Four steps, two of them theirs
I
You create
Name the event and you have a gallery and a code. No account needed yet.
II
They scan
The phone camera opens a web page. There is nothing to install and nothing to accept.
III
They upload
They pick from the camera roll that is already open and tap once.
IV
You collect
Everything lands in your gallery, and you take it away in one archive.
What makes a code the right ask
It is instant
The camera app every phone ships with reads the code. There is no step between seeing it and being on the upload page.
It is universal
iOS and Android have read QR codes natively for years. No brand of phone is excluded and no version needs checking.
It survives a bad signal
A web page loads on a venue’s wifi in a way that an app-store download at the door does not.
Uploads are never blocked
Guests keep uploading past the free 50 whether or not you have paid. Unlocking is your decision afterward, not a wall in front of your guests.
The total is bounded
$0.10 per photo past the free 50, and it stops at $20. A busy event cannot produce a surprise bill.
Everyone can use it
From the friend who films everything to the grandparent who has never installed an app. If they can point a camera at a code, they can add photos.
Storage that lasts
Every photo is stored for a full year, on every plan, and the whole event downloads as one archive whenever you want it. Full-resolution originals are available too, at $0.20 per photo capped at $40.
What hosts said
Each guest was given a QR code. By morning after my wedding day I had over 300 images. This could not have been easier!
I loved Pixsie for its simplicity. It worked perfectly for our event and you can't beat the price!
After looking at countless other sites and apps for collecting wedding pictures we decided to go with Pixsie. We loved the idea of only paying after a certain number of uploads as well as the easy interface for guests to upload pictures and videos without having to download an app or sign in to a website. We were able to match the interface of the site to our wedding colours and easily display QR codes around our venue. We loved getting to look through everything that was uploaded in the days following our wedding easily downloading them in high quality!
Put a code out and see
Free up to 50 photos, then $0.10 each to unlock, capped at $20 for the whole event.
